Our very ambitious goal is to bring Indian food into every neighborhood and every home in the United States through our relaxed and
contemporary fast-casual eateries. Gone are the days of one-dimensional curries and sloppy side dishes.
It all started with three highly successful entrepreneurs and friends coming together in the pursuit of a common dream. Our three leaders- Chirag Shah, Amjadkhan “AP” Pathan, and Antonio Kanickaraj have rich and varied backgrounds in business law, marketing, cooking, and restaurant management. They saw an immense need for a modern fast-casual Indian eatery and decided to change the landscape of the Indian food experience with Tulsi. With their collective passion for exceptional dining experiences and strong community connections, this team is poised to change the perception of the Indian food experience!
Chief Executive Officer
Chirag brings business management and entrepreneurial skills to this long-cultivated dream project. Founder and CEO of a local law firm, Chirag has over 25 years of experience in business transactions as well as the full spectrum of labor, employment, and employee benefits law. He received his LL.M. with honors from Georgetown University Law Center, and his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law. As a “young” lawyer, Chirag was named one of 23 “Best Lawyers Under 40” by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and subsequently featured in a group cover story captioned Rising Young Stars: Top Asian-Pacific American Lawyers in an insert to American Corporate Counsel magazine. A year later, Chirag was the youngest person in history to be named “Law Star” by lawcrossing.com. Chirag also has extensive personal experience serving on numerous governing boards and committees of a variety of nonprofit organizations as a component of his unwavering commitment to public and community service.
Director of Operations
Antonio brings over 17 years of restaurant leadership experience to the Tulsi Team.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and Hotel Management in India, Antonio has managed some of the finest restaurants and hotels across Asia, the Middle East, and the United States.
Antonio is also a classically trained chef specializing in Mughlai, South Indian, North Indian, and Thai Cuisines. He also enjoys pursuing innovative and creative concepts in customer service and brand development as well as motivating and guiding staff to build high-performance, cross-functional teams that embody a sound and strong work ethic and a total commitment to customer satisfaction
Chief Marketing Officer
Amjad Pathan, aka AP, is the Chief Marketing Officer at Tulsi, bringing over 18 years of award-winning experience in Brand Management and Digital Marketing.
AP’s greatest strengths are his creativity, drive, and leadership. He thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand the company’s reach.
AP also serves as the CEO of Bizneed Inc, an award-winning Digital Marketing Agency and COO of International Tea Importers.
Our very modern eateries are maintained with the highest level of personal and professional care along with first-rate safety and hygienic standards that complement perfectly with our uncompromising hospitality. Our team of professionals- both in the kitchen and in the “front of the house” – have years of education and training in the hotel and hospitality industry. As such, our singular focus is to make your dining experience the best that it can be.
